Brisbane airport (IATA code: BNE, ICAO: YBBN) has 2 terminals and is the 3rd busiest airport in Australia after Sydney and Melbourne. It is located about 11km north-east of Brisbane CBD.
With the city of Brisbane hosting the 2032 Olympic games, Brisbane airport is undergoing a A$5 billion upgrade. Work on the domestic and international terminal should be completed by 2032. A third terminal will also be constructed in the early 2030s.

Brisbane International Terminal Lounges
There are 6 lounges at Brisbane’s International terminal:
Escape Lounge Brisbane
PAIDPPDP – The Escape Lounge Brisbane opened in April 2025 and is run by CAVU (founded by MAG – Manchester Airport Group). This is the first Escape Lounge in the southern hemisphere that has been designed and built from scratch.The compact 420m² space is located on level 4 opposite gate 81 and was the former Plaza Premium lounge.


The lounge includes stylish seating, bar and dining area with barista coffee, charging points, free WiFi and access to the PressReader app.
Entry can be booked from from A$65 in advance or at a walk-up price of A$80. Access is granted up to 3 hours before your departure. Children 0-2 are not charged for entry.
Access is also available to Priority Pass and DragonPass holders.
Opening hours are 06:00-01:00.

Plaza Premium Lounge (International Departures) Brisbane
PAIDPPDPAMEX – Plaza Premium Group has a compact lounge at Brisbane for international departures. It is 332m² and seats around 100 guests. This space was the former Aspire lounge.
The lounge offers comfortable seats and couches, bar and buffet with barista coffee, business area, children’s play area and shower facilities. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer good natural lighting and some apron views.
The lounge is available to paying passengers (from A$76 for 2 hours), Priority Pass/DragonPass members and American Express Platinum and Centurion card holders.
It is also normally used by China Airlines premium passengers.
The lounge is located after security on level 3 near gate 77.

Air New Zealand Brisbane International Lounge
STAR ALLIANCE – This roomy lounge facility is 800m² and seats 185. It features modern seating, a centrepiece self service buffet and bar, business area, shower suites, newspapers/magazines and free WiFi. The lounge has large floor-to-ceiling windows offering good views.
Access is granted to Business Premier passengers on Air New Zealand and business class/first class passengers on Star Alliance carriers.
Entrance is also available to Air New Zealand Airpoints Elite/Gold and Star Alliance Gold members travelling on Air New Zealand or any Star Alliance airline. Air New Zealand Koru members also get access if flying on Air New Zealand.
Air Canada Maple Leaf Club (worldwide) and United Club members can also access if flying on Star Alliance
The lounge is located after security, up the escalator to the Mezzanine (Level 4) near gate 82.
Open 05:00-last departure daily.
Qantas International Business Lounge Brisbane
ONEWORLD – This spacious and stylish Qantas lounge is spread over 3 levels. It features a bar, barista coffee, buffet dining area, family zone, 4 showers, small business area and free WiFi. Large windows provide internal views of the departure hall.
Access is available to business and first class customers flying Qantas, Qantas codeshare flights or Oneworld carriers.
Qantas Gold/Platinum/Platinum One get access if flying Qantas, Jetstar, Emirates or Oneworld airlines. Qantas Club members get access if flying Qantas or Jetstar on international flights.
Oneworld Sapphire and Emerald elite members get access if flying on any Oneworld carrier on the day.
The lounge is located airside behind the News Travels store, the main entrance is on level 2 but the lounge also spans levels 3 and 4.
Lounge hours are daily 05:30-00:00.
Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge Brisbane
STAR ALLIANCE – This compact lounge at around 320m² offers a self-service bar/buffet with Western and Asian options, a variety of comfortable seating, shower suites and free WiFi.Access is available to the following passengers departing from Brisbane on Singapore Airlines or Star Alliance carriers:
- First Class or Suites Class (+1 guest allowed)
- Business Class (no guests)
- Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer elites – Elite Gold, PPS Club and Solitaire PPS Club (+1 guest allowed)
- Star Alliance Gold card holders (+1 guest allowed)
- Air Canada Maple Leaf Club Worldwide and United Club members (+1 guest allowed)
- Virgin Australia Velocity Platinum/Gold/Beyond on Singapore Airlines flights only (+1 guest allowed)

Emirates Lounge Brisbane
EMIRATES – Emirates has had a lounge at Brisbane since 2004 – this was its first international lounge outside Dubai in fact. The Emirates Brisbane lounge reopened in February 2024 after being closed since 2020.
The refurbished lounge now has a more contemporary feel despite the signature beige and cream colour tones.
The lounge is 1,108m² and has seating for 183 guests. It includes an excellent bar and buffet, dining area, work desks and 6 shower suites. Large windows offer good natural lighting and excellent apron views.

Passengers can board the Emirates aircraft directly from the lounge.
Access is granted to business and first class passengers on Emirates/Qantas.
Entry is also available to Emirates iO, Emirates Skywards Platinum/Gold and Qantas Frequent Flyer Platinum One/Platinum/Gold or Chairman’s Lounge members travelling on Emirates/Qantas.
Paid access is possible for Emirates economy passengers – access costs a hefty US$125 (Skywards members), US$155 (non-members) plus local GST.
The Emirates Brisbane lounge is located after security on level 3 near gate 75.
Open daily 17:00-20:00 and 21:30-01:30.

ONEWORLD – This is a pleasant Qantas lounge space for premium and elite passengers on domestic flights.This spacious lounge includes a good variety of seating for up to 350 guests, all day dining buffet, barista coffee, work tables, showers, floor to ceiling windows with exterior views and free WiFi.

Access is granted to Qantas business class passengers, Qantas Frequent Flyer Platinum/Platinum One and Chairman’s Lounge members, Emirates Skywards Platinum and iO and Oneworld Emerald members.
First and business class passengers on Qantas/Emirates/Oneworld connecting to a domestic flight also get entry.
Access can be made through the Qantas Premium Lounge entry (level 1) which includes bag drop and security – then go up the escalators to the Qantas Lounge Precinct. Or you can find the lounge entrance on level 2 (after security) near gate 22.
It is open 1 hour before first Qantas departure until last departure.
Qantas Club Brisbane
ONEWORLD – The Qantas Club is a very large area adjacent to the Domestic Business Lounge.Facilities include a wide array of seating, self-service bar-buffet, barista coffee, children’s nook, work stations, showers and free WiFi. Note, it can get very busy at peak times.
Access is granted to Qantas business class passengers, Qantas Club members, Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold/Platinum/Platinum One members, Emirates Skywards Gold/Platinum and iO, Oneworld Emerald/Sapphire members, Alaska Lounge members and Alaska MVP Gold/Gold 75K members.
First and business class passengers on Qantas/Emirates connecting to a domestic flight can also get entry.
Access can be made through the Qantas Premium Lounge entry (level 1) which includes bag drop and security – go up the escalators to the Qantas Lounge Precinct. Or you can find the lounge entrance on level 2 (after security) near gate 22.
It is open 1 hour before first Qantas departure until last departure.
Qantas Chairman’s Lounge Brisbane
INVITATION – This exclusive lounge has a contemporary design with stylish seats, library area, bar area with Rockpool menu, apron views and private meeting rooms. Guests get a personal boarding invitation.
Access is only granted to Chairman’s Lounge members (invitation-only) and Emirates iO members flying Qantas.
The Qantas Chairman’s Lounge is located near the Qantas Club in the Brisbane Lounge Precinct.
Virgin Australia Lounge Brisbane
VIRGIN AUSTRALIAAMEX – This large Virgin Australia lounge facility offers comfortable seating for up to 400 guests, all day dining, barista coffee bar, business centre, showers and free WiFi. There are some windows offering exterior views.Access is granted to Virgin Australia business class passengers, Virgin Australia Velocity Platinum and Gold members and Virgin Australia Lounge program members.
Access is also available to elite members of Air Canada/Delta/Etihad/Singapore Airlines/South African Airways/United Airlines/Virgin Atlantic flying on Virgin Australia.
A single entry pass can be purchased for A$65 at-the-door (capacity permitting), open 2 hours before your Virgin Australia flight departure. Child passes (2-17) cost A$45.
American Express Centurion and Platinum card holders get access when flying Virgin Australia. This is an official benefit of Australian-issued Platinum cards, though we have heard of holders from other countries getting entry.
The lounge is located after security on level 2 near gate 41 or via the Premium Entry channel.
Opens daily from 60 minutes before first Virgin Australia flight departure until last departure – around 05:00-21:00.
Virgin Australia Beyond Lounge Brisbane
INVITATION – This is a small private lounge at Brisbane domestic for Virgin Australia invitation-only Beyond members (similar to Qantas Chairman’s Lounge). Previously known as The Club, it was rebranded/refurbished as the Beyond Lounge, opening in 2022.The lounge offers stylish seats for up to 44 guests, a la carte breakfast and all-day menu, exterior airport views, private boardroom and shower facilities.
Staff give customers personal boarding invitations.
The lounge is located past Premium Entry near the main Virgin Australia Lounge. Access is via a discreet frosted door.
Opens daily from 60 minutes before first Virgin Australia flight departure until last departure.
