Bristol International Airport (IATA code: BRS, ICAO: EGGD) has a single terminal. It is the ninth busiest airport in the UK. It is located some 12 km (7.5 miles) southwest of Bristol city centre.
Bristol airport is owned by the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan but an agreement is in place to sell to Macquarie Asset Management (Australia). The airport wants to extend the single runway and significantly expand the terminal, subject to planning permission.

Bristol Airport Lounges
Bristol Airport currently has 2 lounges available to travelers:
Escape Lounge Bristol
PAID – The Escape Lounge opened at Bristol in July 2025. Escape Lounges are run by CAVU (founded by MAG – Manchester Airport Group).
The lounge location used to be the 1903 Lounge and previously the AspirePlus lounge.
The new Escape lounge at Bristol features separate zones for dining, working and relaxing. This includes complimentary food and drinks at the self-service island buffet, an array of stylish seating, access to the Pressreader app and free WiFi.
Floor-to-ceiling windows offer good views over the Eastern apron.


Paid entrance for the new lounge is available from £36.99 by booking online in advance whilst the walk-in price is £55. Access is available from 3 hours prior to departure.
Note that Priority Pass and DragonPass holders no longer access this lounge and are directed to the Essence lounge.
After security, take the lift or stairs up to the mezzanine level and follow signs to the Escape lounge. The new lounge is located next to the Cabin Bar.

Essence by Escape Lounges at Bristol
PAIDPPDP – The Essence by Escape Lounges opened at Bristol in September 2025 and is a new lounge concept from CAVU-Escape Lounges.
The location is the former Escape Lounge which was also the Aspire lounge between 2013-2023 before CAVU took over operations.
The newly refurbished space has basic lounge seating, a buffet and bar, free WiFi and PressReader access. There are windows with internal views only.


The lounge is being used for Priority Pass and DragonPass members with pre-booking from £5 to guarantee a place.
Essence also takes walk-in passengers (subject to availability) priced at £35 for adults and £25 for children. No online booking is available for this lounge.
Access is available from 3 hours prior to departure.
The lounge is located on the mezzanine level on the right-hand side of Franky & Benny’s restaurant.
Open daily 03:30-15:00 (Mon-Thu), 03:30-17:00 (Fri-Sun).
