Newcastle Airport (IATA code: NCL, ICAO: EGNT) has a single terminal and is the 12th busiest airport of the UK handling over 5 million passengers annually. It is located some 10 km (6 miles) north of central Newcastle.

Swissport has a 3-tier lounge at Newcastle with a total area of 1,100m² and capacity for 329 passengers. This lounge complex opened in 2024 and combined the previous Aspire and British Airways lounges.
Aspire Lounge Newcastle
PAIDPRIORITY PASSDRAGONPASSTUI – This is Swissport’s classic Aspire lounge which is on the right-hand side of the shared complex entrance.It offers a large island bar with self-serve buffet and drinks surrounded by cafe-style seating. There is a family area, quiet zone, flight screens and free WiFi. The lounge complex has signature wall art with an ‘Angel of the North’ theme showing local highlights.
There are toilet facilities within the lounge – but no showers.
There is not much in the way of natural light save for a small set of windows which overlooks the adjacent lounges.
Paid entrance is available to any passenger from £46 if booking online in advance. Access is possible from 3 hours prior to departure.
Free entry is granted to Priority Pass and DragonPass holders, subject to availability. TUI Premium passengers have a dedicated section in this lounge.
The lounge is located beyond security, turn left passing the Duty Free shop, take the stairs/ escalator to the lower level concourse towards the gates. The lounge is on the right-hand side (near Gates 3/7).

Luxe by Aspire Lounge Newcastle
PAIDONEWORLDSKYTEAM – Swissport’s upgraded Suite and Luxe offerings are found on the left of the shared entrance – you will be personally escorted to a seat. Luxe is essentially a ‘business-class’ offering at a higher price point than the classic lounge.
Facilities include self-service island bar-buffet with a better range of food and drink than the classic lounge, comfy seating, work tables with charging points and free WiFi.
There are toilet facilities within the lounge – but no showers.
Internal windows on one side provide some natural light and offer indirect views of the runway.
Paid entrance is available to any passenger from £57 if booking online in advance. Access is possible from 3 hours prior to departure. The lounge is designated as adult-only 18+ (unless the passenger enters with a business-class ticket).
Access is also granted to premium passengers of British Airways and Air France-KLM.

PAIDEMIRATES – Swissport’s upgraded Suite and Luxe offerings are found on the left of the shared entrance – you will be personally escorted to a seat. The Suite is essentially a partitioned area with better window views and table service.Suite by Aspire has a la carte dining served at your table and includes charcuterie and cheese boards. Premium drinks like locally brewed ales and sparkling wines are complimentary – but champagne is charged as extra.
You are also free to use the bar-buffet in the Luxe part of the lounge.
