Schiphol Hotels - within walking distance
Sheraton Schiphol Airport - Starwood property a very short walk from the airport. Rooms are pleasant and spacious. Hotel features a number of bars/restaurants and a 30m high atrium. Lots of meeting and conference facilities. WiFi internet is charged as extra. Room rates are on the higher side due to the convenient hotel location. [Book]
Hilton Schiphol Airport - The Hilton is under 10 minutes covered walk from the airport - follow the signs. A free courtesy shuttle bus also runs. This Hilton property has a slightly dated feel and the standard rooms are medium sized (24m2). WiFi is charged as extra unless you have HHonours Gold status. Like the Sheraton, room rates are at the higher end reflecting the proximity to the airport. (Note, the Hilton in the city is a superior hotel). [Book]
CitizenM Amsterdam Airport - CitizenM is a Dutch chain of design hotels. Rooms are small rectangular pods of 14m2 containing king bed, tv with free movies, power rainshower, toilet and desk. Lounge area has a bar selling drinks and snacks. Free WiFi throughout hotel. A very good budget option for Schiphol, with rates from €70. Walk out of Schiphol station entrance and bear right - a covered walkway takes you there. Recommended (although perhaps not suitable for large families). [Book]
Schiphol Hotels - in the surrounding area
There are a fair number of hotels from the major chains within a few kilometres of Schiphol airport, just a short drive away. Most will be cheaper than the Sheraton and Hilton. Some things to consider: All hotels will have a shuttle bus from the airport - some are free, some charge a fee. Taxis can charge you up to €25-€30 for the journey to an airport hotel. Many of the airport hotels are a somewhat isolated from both the airport and the city.
Dorint Hotel Schiphol - The Dorint offers spacious, modern rooms (26m2) with free Internet Breakfast buffet is very good. Nice swimming pool. Location is near A9 motorway between the airport and the Amsterdamse Bos park - a complimentary shuttle bus runs to/from the airport. Recommended. [Book]
Holiday Inn Express Schiphol - This HIX hotel opened in 2011 and is situated in Hoofdorp town a few km west of Schiphol airport. Modern rooms of 21m2, free WiFi and free continental breakfast. Decent value with rates below €100 if booked in advance. There is a shuttle bus that serves the sister hotel Crowne Plaza across the street - this is free going to the hotel but costs €7.50 back to the airport. Alternatively walk to Hoofdorp station for the train to Schiphol or Amsterdam. [Book]
Crowne Plaza Schiphol Airport - Located in Hoofdorp, there is a shuttle bus (free from airport, €7.50 back to airport). Rooms are modern and decent sized. Free WiFi available. Short walk to Hoofdorp station for trains to Schiphol or Amsterdam. [Book]
Radisson Blu Schiphol Hotel - Located at the southern edge of the airport boundary. Free shuttle bus to/from airport. Modern rooms of around 26m2 with free WiFi. Good meeting facilities. [Book]

Schiphol A4 - Reasonable hotel located on the A4 motorway about 6km south of the airport. Plenty of parking spaces. Free shuttle bus to/from airport. Large rooms (around 30m2) but decor a little on the dated side. Good breakfast buffet. Decent rates. [Book]
