Air Asia – 1 million “free” flights offer

Air Asia has just announced a special offer deal for flights departing next year between April 1st and July 31st 2009. The base fare will be “free” but you will (of course) have to pay additional taxes and charges. The offer covers all Air Asia routes including their medium haul Air Asia X routes to Australia.

So for example an Air Asia X flight from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur will set you back only AU$ 320 return all in which is decent value. (In flight meals are extra) Or you can fly on a premium economy XL Promo fare for AU$ 663.

The fares are available from August 26th to August 31st and heavy demand is expected…

Australia to Asia – Offers from Viva Macau and Air Asia X

Viva Macau have a sale fare from Sydney to Macau advertised as “AU$99″ one way not including taxes and charges. The cheapest return fare is actually AU$498 all-in. This is bookable until the 20th August for travel between 1st September until the end of the year. The sale fare is limited so you will have to be flexible on your travel dates in order to find the lowest fare.

Air Asia X has a one-way sale fare from Gold Coast (OOL) to Kuala Lumpur LCC terminal for AU$199 all-in. From here you can connect onto Air Asia’s extensive budget network around South-East Asia. Again this fare is in limited supply…book by 24th August for travel between 1st September and 13th November. And remember that Air Asia X does charge for extras like checked luggage and meals…although it has denied that it will be weighing passengers after some exaggerated reports in the media.

Oasis Hong Kong Airlines is no more…

Oasis Hong Kong Airlines has gone into liquidation and has ceased flying from today. The budget carrier had started flying between London and Hong Kong in October 2006 and later added a service from Hong Kong to Vancouver.

Oasis Hong Kong Airlines New Year Deal

Oasis Hong Kong are currently offering a new year deal on London Gatwick to Hong Kong flights. Returns are available from £336 all-in (economy) and £1196 all-in (business class).

You must book by December 15th and travel between January 6th and March 12th 2008. Checking their site we found it was a little difficult to find the £336 deal (only a few dates are available) but the biz class offer is easily found.

Oasis Hong Kong Airlines ‘Free Flight’ to Singapore

Oasis Hong Kong Airlines, the budget long-haul carrier is offering a free return flight to Singapore from Hong Kong. Passengers who fly a round trip with Oasis to HK from London Gatwick or Vancouver are entitled to the ‘free’ economy flight with (Qantas) Jetstar Asia.

The offer is valid until August 15th 2007 and travel must be between August 15th and November 30th 2007. The Jetstar flights must be taken within the dates of the Oasis round trip. Note, the passenger must pay the additional taxes and charges for the flight. Checking Jetstar’s website, taxes for the trip should be around HK$ 545 (US$ 70).
