With the announcement by Fly Asian Xpress to purchase 10 Airbus A330s (plus a ‘call’ option for another 5) indicates a new chapter in the budget long-haul sector. Essentially this means Air Asia will start ultra-cheap long haul services out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Flight destinations are expected to be UK, Australia, India, China and Japan.
