Lufthansa-Privatair services from Germany - In 2002 Lufthansa and Privatair joined forces to set up the first transatlantic "all-business" scheduled service between Dusseldorf and New York Newark. Whilst that particular route was discontinued in 2008, Lufthansa and Privatair have continued operating a number of all business services from Germany - with a focus on low volume, high yield business routes to the Middle East, Africa and India.
On these Lufthansa routes, Privatair operates Boeing Business Jet 2 BBJ2s (based on the 737-800) with 56 "lie-flat" seats on board in a 2-2 configuration. These services are considered to be standard Lufthansa business class flights and can be booked on Lufthansa's website or using one of the large online agents. Miles & More frequent flyers can earn miles on these services.
