EuroFly MiMa Suspends Business Class Flights Milan to New York
The all business class service from Milan Malpensa MXP to New York JFK which launched in 2006 has been suspended as of early 2007. The 'MiMa' (Milano Manhattan) service had been operated by Italian scheduled airline Eurofly, using an Airbus 319CJ fitted out with just 48 business class seats. |
In 2006 we saw OzJet, an all business class service in Australia, go under after being unable to profitably serve the Sydney to Melbourne business route. The latest all-business casualties were Maxjet, EOS Airlines and finally Silverjet who flew from London airports to various US cities. Only one all-biz carrier remains - L'Avion, serving New York from Paris.
Eurofly are a scheduled airline who still fly economy and business class from New York to Rome, Naples, Bologna and Palermo.

Business travellers on the Milan - New York route have a few choices. Alitalia still provide a direct service from Newark to Milan with prices in the range of £1,600 / $3,200. British Airways have Club Class flights via London from around £1,200 / $2,400 and Czech Airlines via Prague are also pricing the route at a similar level.
